Ontario Canada
2007

For those of you who are looking for the place to go for great fishing, great food, and the friendliest people, boy do I have the place for you. The towns of Brechin, Orillia, Beaverton and Bobcaygeon Ontario Canada have all of this and more. Now for those of you who have to have your cell phones and internet, this may not be the place for you as cell service is limited. There are several places that have Wifi if you have to have it. Though you may be way to busy fishing.

Here is a list of MUST see places:
    Bobcaygeon
Oak Shore Marina - Ed at Oak Shores is a wonderful and knowledgeable person about all things to do with the Bald Lakes and Pigeon lake. They have a
real nice store and restaurant. The fishing from their shore line is fantastic. Large Mouth bass, Musky and Walleye are just a few of the
types of fish you will catch. They have boat rentals there as well.
             Light House Point
             Bed and Breakfast -
Wonderful place to stay. Room was clean and the breakfast was fantastic. Location could not be any better right at the
                                            mouth of the Bobcaygeon river.
Buckeye Sports -    Great source of info for fishing as well. Well stocked tackle store and the staff are very nice.

    Beaverton
The Happy Butcher - They have the BEST pea-meal bacon in the world. The staff there was very helpful and vacuum sealed everything that we bought so that
it would travel back to the states with out any trouble.
The Pier -                 Talk about Great fishing. While we were there we were able to sight fish over 15-20 Northern Pike ranging from 20-37 inches in length.

    Brechin

Lagoon City -           Very nice accommodations and a really neat setup for fishing. Just about every place they have is on the water. Fishing was great
Largemouth bass, pan fish and Pike are all over the place.
Talbot's Bait Shop -    Great source for information about fishing Lake Simcoe.
Trent Canal -              This is one of the most interesting places to fish. If you go there take steel leaders and big minnows. We saw over 30 nice northern pike
take in 2 hours one morning.

    Orillia
      Trombly baits-
Really nice shop. Has everything a fisherman/woman could every need.
Casino Rama-     Vegas style casino. they have a light show that will teach you about the native Canadians.

Ok So now for what every one wants to see...
